Today we’re going to talk about our return on our investment using the blow in cavity system.
While the per square foot application of the BICS system may cost 10-15% more per square foot of wall space there are several cost savings benefits that come with using this effective system.
First, the system is considered “green” by the mortgage industry thus qualifying for a green mortgage, usually 1/8th to 1/4th of a point off the mortgage. That can save the average home owner between $40 and $75 dollars a month on their payment.
Because the system my cost an additional $500-$1,000 dollars up front this kind of mortgage would pay the homeowner back in approximately 10 to 18 months.
This system is also efficient and effective in saving the homeowners/end users approximately 12-20% on their electric/gas bills, making the ROI here only 6-12 months.
Finally, when using the BIC System, the HV/AC contractor can re-evaluate the tonnage needed to heat and cool the house/building thus shrinking the tonnage needed by up to one ton. The cost savings on the HV/AC units alone typically offset the higher price of the BIC System in effect giving the builder a free insulation upgrade.
Add all three of these of these together and the end user is saving a lot of money and will have a more comfortable and efficient house or commercial building.
